If you’re looking for just the right thing for all those loved ones on your list, here are a few events that you won’t want to miss this year:

28th Annual La Casa Inc. Holiday Bazaar
Nov. 30 to Dec. 2, Las Cruces Convention Center, 680 E. University Ave. Handcrafted gifts, baked goods, and original art will be featured at this family-friendly event. Admission is $5 for one day, $12 for the weekend. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2. Visit lacasainc.org.

Winterfest 2018
Dec. 21, 5 to 9 p.m.Plaza de Las Cruces, 100 N. Main St.
Pick up some last minute gifts while enjoying food trucks and free photos with Santa. Take someone to the theater

“White Christmas”
Dec. 22, 7 p.m., Rio Grande Theatre, 211 N. Main St.
Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye and Rosemary Clooney star in Irving Berlin’s classic Christmas tale. This showing at the Rio Grande Theater won’t disappoint. Admission is $8 with discounts for seniors, children, students, and the military. More info can be found at riograndetheatre.org.

“Mary Poppins”
Nov. 30 to Dec. 16, Las Cruces Community Theatre, 313 N. Main St.
What a practically perfect way to celebrate the holiday! England’s most famous nanny is making her way to the stage as musical that everyone will enjoy. Tickets and showtimes can be found at lcctnm.org.

Make some magic at the holiday tree lightings

Las Cruces Christmas Tree Lighting
Dec. 1, 6 to 8 p.m., Plaza de Las Cruces, 100 N. Main St.
Annual tree-lighting ceremony includes food trucks, music, free activities, giveaways for children, and an appearance from Santa. Free.

Mesilla Christmas Tree Lighting
Dec. 7, 6 p.m., Mesilla Plaza, Calle de Principal
Ring in the holidays with the annual tree-lighting ceremony in the historic plaza. Many businesses stay open late. Free.
Ring in the New Year downtown

5th Annual Las Cruces Chile Drop
Dec. 31, 8 p.m., Plaza de Las Cruces, 100 N. Main St.
Live music and entertainment, food, beer, and dancing headline the annual Las Cruces Chile Drop. You won’t want to miss the 19-foot chrome chile with 400 feet of LED lighting drop at midnight. Free. Visit downtownlascruces.org/chile-drop.
